Khatija Sacranie – Founding Partner
Khatija is a seasoned legal strategist with two decades of experience advising private equity firms, corporates, financial institutions, and international funds across the US, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific. Before founding Adira Legal, she served as a senior lawyer at the World Bank Group in Washington DC, and various large banks in the City of London.
She led high-volume legal outsourcing projects for some of the world's most demanding institutions. She began her legal career at Latham and Watkins in London and Allen & Overy in Dubai.
Her work spans M&A, fund structuring, commercial negotiations, and complex cross-border regulatory matters. With over 20,000 legal documents reviewed under her leadership at Adira Legal to date, Khatija brings unmatched precision, speed, and commercial insight to the legal review process.
Islam Abdelal – Founding Partner
Islam is a dual-qualified corporate lawyer (England & Wales, California) with over 17 years of experience advising multinational clients across private practice, in-house legal teams, and his own legal consultancy. He has supported Fortune 500 companies, global law firms, and private equity sponsors on complex transactional, regulatory, and commercial matters across the UK, US, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific.
Before founding Adira Legal, Islam trained at a Silver Circle law firm in London and served as Associate General Counsel at McKinsey & Company. He also helped build a legal documentation platform, leading delivery strategy and client ops.
He has overseen large-scale legal review operations globally, ensuring jurisdictional compliance, speed, and quality assurance across thousands of documents.
